Hi there I use the Aveeno on my dd. It's the green and cream tube with oatmeal. Took well-nigh 2 weeks but cleared her face up lovely.

cheers - sounds like the aforementioned one
Does it assistance with rashes, or just dry skin?

donnie Friday 09-Jun-06 10:14:41

what sort of rash is it? if it is a dry skin or eczema problem aveeno is peachy but if information technology is a temporary matter acquired by a virus I don't think it will practise much THB.

It is eczema, but its more at the sore red spotty stage than weeping dry stage if you know what i mean.

Aveeno hasn't made much divergence to ds' rash (think a oestrus induced eczema) and am now trying E45 Itch relief merely not certain it is suitable for babies.

I take found with dds eczema that aveeno volition manage the peel very well but if she has a flare up she does need the steroid foam to calm it downward properly. Do you take steroid foam? the estrus has as well made her react, sadly.

Same hither. Aveeno on her face gave her that lovely baby skin again. But patches on her knees have needed a picayune assistance from perscription creams. And otherwise I employ Silcocks Base on her legs. She goes to bed oily I put so much on, I lash it all over her, except face when I'm putting her into the bath and I use it to wash her. If they're bad patches on face you might need something stronger. Poor trivial things, it tin be so uncomfortable for them. Does anyone else's lo get patches on cheeks when teething?

Hi Jasper - nosotros used Aveeno on our ds face - it worked wonders immigration up his cheeks, and at present use it to moisturise and manage his skin. Accept needed some other creams from Drs for behind knees though.

Enquire the Dr to prescribe Aveeno - they should no bug - it is expensive after all, might as well go it from Dr. and non have to pay.

Jasper - nosotros use the lotion on ds's face, nosotros simply slap information technology everywhere. He never really had bad eczema though, just a rough, slightly spotty face and it cleared it upwardly a care for.

hullo my 3 wk old dd2 has reddish raised spots on her face mostly her forehead but cheeks and mentum as well as some on her head. they await similar red spots with a white head. i took her to docs who said it was excma and prescribed aveeno cream. but i retrieve it has made it worse. but it is but 2nd day of using it. does information technology go worse before it gets better with the cream? i was worried the spots were because of sma gold formula but are they only normal for a newborn to get? if anyone could help i would r appreciate it im worried her face looks then sore. x

Sorry jeanini dd didn't have spots, more than of a rash. I did observe with the different creams we used that if at that place was a reaction ,it was near firsthand, Aveeno doesn't work for everyone. DD did get some white heads from her formula though. Keep bumping this thread because I got lots of advice from MN when I found out that dd had eczema. Someone is jump to take had the same problem somewhere along the line. I was told that reactions to sure formulas tin appear as rashes or spots on the skin. Hope it all works out.
PS Did the doctor mention baby acne at all? My friend'south lo had this and information technology cleared up in a few weeks. Just when you say spots, mayhap...

all my daughters had these spots. They come typically at aroung 3 weeks and usually start clearing at nigh 6 weeks. Although they look a fleck alarming they are nothing to worry about and are caused by hormones

jeanini Sun xviii-Jun-06 09:53:40

aye it is a rash with raised ruby-red spots with a white head. i will deport on using the aveeno foam . it does look like acne. the doctor said it was eczema only im not sure. and reading some of your comments i recollect information technology could be acquired by hormones. x
